Pricing and Delivery
Fee structure for services in EN-LV, LV-EN, and RU-EN language pairs
All fees are calculated per source document word count, unless the word count in the document cannot be easily determined, or unless agreed otherwise. Prices are determined based on the specific subject, format and deadlines. For example, a Word file with general text and a generous deadline will be charged at the lower end of the scale compared to an urgently required PDF file of highly specialised text. Rates for proofreading and revision are provided for human translations of reasonable quality, and not for post-editing.
Price Per Word
Generally, I can handle around 2,000 words a day, which is also an industry standard. For example, if you require a 5,000 word translation, it will take around two and half days. However, this applies to general texts, as more complicated subjects and formats might take additional time. Under certain circumstances, an increased volume per day can be handled for an additional fee.
Please bear in mind, it is more than likely I am already working on a project for one or several of my customers, so the start of your project will depend on my existing work load. I will always try to fit you in and will confirm the delivery time before I start your project, so there will be no unpleasant surprises. I work strictly on ‘first come, first serve’ basis, and the starting point is the final confirmation of the project.
